Worthians exit the Buildbase FA Trophy

Blackfield & Langley 3-0 Highworth Town
On a day when both sides were making their first appearances in the competition it was the home side who came out on top at the Gang Warily ground in Hampshire.
Highworth started brightly and Jeffries, Parsons and Sidibi all had efforts that missed the target in the first 10 minutes. The visitors continued to dominate possession and territory, as they did for most of the game, but it was the home side who opened the scoring on 24 minutes as Highworth carelessly lost the ball in midfield with Plummer being put though to shoot past Connor Johns.
8 minutes later the same player scored with a dipping volley from 20 yards after the visiting defence failed to deal with a long ball from Blackfield's back line.
Highworth nearly pulled a goal back on 27 minutes when Noice in the home goal parried a shot from Jordan Roberts before then saving Sidibi's follow up effort.
The second half was a bit of a non event as Highworth again dominated possession but lacked any real cutting edge. Matty Grabe did hit the
home crossbar from distance on 66 minutes but this was the only real effort of note from either side until Poole scored the third for Blackfield in added time with a header from a corner.
Highworth will get an opportunity to avenge this result when they host Blackfield and Langley at the SaveOnTyres Stadium in the league next Saturday.
Before that however a we have visit from Salisbury FC on Wednesday,7.45 KO, in the Southern League Cup
