Another good workout for both teams ended with the home side scoring to late goals to win this pre season game.
Highworth started the game brightly with a couple of runs by Darren Jeffries causing the Didcot defence problems but it was the home side who should have taken an early lead with a close range effort which Connor Johns did well to block with his legs. Johns did well again when rushing out of the penalty area to beat an on rushing forward to a through ball.
In an even first half Sam Morris and Sean Woods both pulled efforts wide for Highworth as half time arrived at 0-0.
Highworth took the lead on 55 minutes through Sean Woods 15 yard effort after great work on the right wing by Tumani Sidibi.
As multiple substitutions took place Highworth seemed to lose their attacking intent and late goals from Reid and Gardner put the home side ahead.
Jordan Roberts had a great chance to equalise but pulled his shot wide when well placed
before sub keeper Curtis Meares made a couple of decent stops to prevent Didcot going further ahead.
