Ground Grading Achieved

By Derek Lloyd

All the hard work proves fruitful

This evening Highworth Town Football achieve Grade D grading for it's facilities at the Elms.
This allows us to continue to play at Step 4 level in the EvoStik Southern League.

Given it was less than 12 months ago when the decision was taken to accept promotion, and thereby committing to upgrade our facilities the fact this has been granted today is a credit to all involved.

The project has been lead by our Chairman Rohan Haines whose unfailing attention to detail has played a highly significant part of the planning process. Rohan has been supported by not only our Secretary Fraser Haines and other Committee members but also friends and supporters of the club who have helped with the physical groundworks.

Our Contractors have battled against the elements at times to complete the upgrade and new builds and we thank them also.

We could not have achieved this either without support from local Councillors who accepted our plans at the initial stage and have supported us throughout the process.

We always welcome new faces at the club so if you fancy coming and having a look around just get in touch.

We also have function facilities available so if you are looking for a venue for an event again just get in touch.
